Storing your gong: store in a dry environment away from extreme temperaturesand moisture to protect its surface. Store in a high quality gong bag or cover with a soft cloth sheet.
Cleaning your gong: Paiste Gongs come with a good wax coating from the workshop so you should not need to polish/rewax for a long time unless it gets very dirty for some reason. You can use a soft cloth to clean off dust.
Suspending your gong: ensure it can swing backwards and forward freely without touching the stand. Each Paiste Gong is suspended using gut string (included with each Gong) that should be checked regularly for wear and replaced when necessary.
Handling your gong: try not to get fingerprints on the face of the Gong as this can introduce moisture/dirt into the wax. You can hold by the cord or by the rim or wear soft gloves if you like. Avoid pressure, impacts, or metal contact with your gong.
Always store it face down with protective padding, and clean any fingerprints immediately with a soft cloth.
Transporting your gong: transport your gong in either ahigh quality gong bag, strong cardboard box or
wooden crate with rubber foam or blanket cushioning.
